Engenius-UA Formula Student is a multidisciplinary team of young students from the University of Aveiro. The project was created in 2006 and it is dedicated to the development of sustainable and innovative projects within the area of motorsport. We are currently taking the first steps in the construction of our first car with the help of our sponsors, in order to compete in various Formula Student venues throughout Europe.
Formula Student is the largest international engineering competition for students. Originally from the United States, it has rapidly expanded and today is also present in several countries in Europe and Asia, with more than 400 teams competing annually. Student teams build, test, and race a small-scale formula style racing car. During the development and construction of the racing car, students have to work as a team in order to obtain the best possible result, using all their engineering knowledge and acquiring multiple extracurricular capabilities throughout the process. Due to the rigor and the challenges of Formula Student, it becomes a great way to prepare future engineers for their work in the industry.
A group of Mechanical Engineering students created the Formula Student team of the University of Aveiro.
